The ancient Saxon town of Cricklade, on the edge of the Cotswold Water Parks, has two magnificent churches.
St Sampson's (left) is the oldest and largest of the two churches in Cricklade.
References to the church can be found from 983 and many additions and enhancements have been made over the centuries since, including the addition of the magnificent church tower that dominates the view as you approach Cricklade town.
The other, smaller church on historic Cricklade High Street is St Mary's Church (top left).
Visit St Mary's Church website to learn more about its political and architectural history, take a virtual tour and join The Friends of St Mary's.
